Ad for Stella Artois (Wes Anderson & Roman Coppola, 2010)

The auteur as adman, wherein a strong pictorial sensibility is divorced from its thematic context to sell beer via a cynical, late Peter Sellers-style gag.

remarkably derivative, soulless. it took two directors to make this?

Yeah, two of 'em. It strikes me as more Coppola than Anderson, or more as Anderson-as-a-vehicle-for-Coppola (and not in the good way, like Darjeeling Limited).
